EISTEDDFOD GROUPS - IMPORTANT INFORMATION
All dance group performances in the Townsville Eisteddfod will be held at the Civic Theatre. The Theatre still has very strict Covid19 protocols in place which present us with some logistical challenges. Students in the group items will not be able to dress at the theatre. Instead, on the day of their performance, they will come to Pirani Hall dressed in costume with hair and makeup done for performance as per the schedule below. Some Ballet students will have their costumes at Pirani Hall, so they will need to get dressed at the studio. However, they must arrive with hair and makeup done.
Teachers will check all costumes, hair etc and then rehearse the item at the studio. Parents are welcome to watch the rehearsal.
All students must then be taken to the Civic Theatre ready to perform at 6pm. They must be dropped at the rear door of C2 (the annex at the back of the theatre) where they will wait with a teacher until their item is called to stage. Parking may be challenging, so please drop of your child first, and then find a park. Anyone wanting to watch the performance must buy a ticket. You can do this at the Box Office on the day, or via this link https://whatson.townsville.qld.gov.au/events/community-events/townsville-eisteddfod-2021. Students can be collected from C2 at the conclusion of their section.

It has been a bumpy start for everyone this year, and these last few months have challenged us all in ways we could never have imagined. We are so excited to be back for Term 3 with a full timetable, and with brand-new studios! All of our classes will now be run from Pirani Hall (Studios 1, 2 and 3) and our new studios located at 853 Flinders Street (Corner of Morris Street). Our friendly teachers and staff are thrilled to welcome back our students and their families. We still have places available in most classes and are happy to take on new students at any time during the year. Check out our timetable page for a comprehensive listing of all classes available - from Bubs to adults!
